About Me

Me pedal boating around Trakai Castle- Trakai, Lithuania

I was as jumpy to the world of blogging  as a 16 year old learning to drive standard. Before I start blogging proper, I must disclaim that this isn’t my first blog.

Having written loads as a Literature student in college, though I was not half-embarrassed by my own writings, I decided to discontinue well into the early years of university. Years later- the Communications student/freak in me broke free and thus the first travel blog, MelInBk,  was born to a 20something, Italian girl from Saint Leonard, Montreal (a bit like Jersey!) during a 7 month stint living in New York City and experiencing life at a talent agency. It was there that I shared my experiences as well as travel tips for all my friends and curious public to see.

Most of what there is to know about me is that I love travel and tourism more than I should… a bit of an obsession, really. Here is the platform from where I’ll share my thoughts, experiences, and spout a few opinions in the process.

If that doesn’t say enough about me- ask yourself: Do I know any short Italian girls from St. Leo who’ve taken off to the Middle East for 2 months one summer? Who’ve booked tickets on a whim to Italy and found work at a hostel with a kick-ass Malaysian (ethnically Chinese) dude? Up and left to New York City 2 days after graduating, found a fantastic apartment in Brooklyn’s Williamsburg in 3 days, and subsequently made friends off Craigslist without being molested?

Oh, I also REALLY like travel products, especially anything tiny, compact, and/or two in one. A lot!
